-Starting Programs- Weapon: Matching Knives Whip Ability: Wind
Eniac walked down the clean halls of his new University. He still couldn't believe it! At his age, he was already in a University. He blasted through high school in three years, and got straight A's, and now the University wanted him more than ever. With a full scholarship, how could he refuse? "I wonder if I'll meet anyone new to this school, and we can become fast friends!? And there's that tournament thingy coming up! Yep, this year is looking good!" With a new environment, Eniac's spirits were up.
He walked down the hall, until he reached the cafeteria. "Ooh, I wonder what they're serving today! He walked into the cafeteria, and saw a marvel. A completely automated cafeteria system. You input the food you want into the computers, and in minutes your food is served. Drooling with excitement, he sprinted over to the only empty computer. He ran so fast, he could barely stop, but he knew he could catch himself on the counter in front of the computer.
Then someone walked up to the computer, and Eniac realized he was about to crash into the person. He tried with all his might to stop himself from running, but he couldnt' stop the inevitable crash.

Weapon Program(s) -Middle-sized Katana -Light Weight Short dagger
Ability Program(s) -Speed
Though he wasn't planning on attending a university considering that he had already rebelled to get away from any sort of ruling system over him, Kaiketsu still accepted a free food offer for just checking out a school campus. He had entered the cafeteria with the surprise of the way it delivered food, but the world was pretty advanced now, so probably soon enough servers would be obsolete. He sighed noticing a long line but having spotted one at the end as he had been walking down to get to it. In no time at all, he heard the sound of fast footsteps, and soon they got louder.
By the time Kaiketsu's head was turned, it was too late, the other boy had collided with him as he tumbled backwards and landed flat on his back. He let out a small groan as he shoved the boy off him and slowly managed to get up. "I don't know what's with this school, but if you're rushing that much to get food, you better at least avoid obstacles..." Kaiketsu wasn't really annoyed at what happened, though he felt it building, he was more curious. He turned his head towards the boy, sighing as he held out his tattooed arm to help him up.

Eniac felt his back, and knew that it would be bruised the next morning. He looked up at the other person, and he stretched his hand out and grasped the hand. After being pulled up, Eniac apologized, "Oh, man! I'm so sorry! Sometimes when I get excited about something I just forget about everything else. I am working on that, though. See, I don't have a home, so it's not often I get to eat this kind of food. Well, I guess I do have a home now, here at the university. What's your name?"
Eniac hoped he didn't sound like an idiot. He never really had a friend before. Some people usually just called him a nerd, and others would laugh. His rugged appearance would keep everyone else away. This person didn't seem to care much about appearances, though.

Kaiketsu almost began to worry at this sudden occurrence. He had mistakenly thought the boy who had bumped into him was a normal kid, but soon after the boy opened his mouth, Kaiketsu was proved wrong. He listened as the boy went on about himself but then suddenly asked Kaiketsu’s name. He shrugged his shoulders and finally ended up speaking to the boy.
“I’m Kaiketsu Tada...” He wasn’t sure what else to add to it, the boy had only asked his name, but he had just figured he might go back to ordering his free meal. He slowly turned to order it as he then slowly turned his head. He hoped he wouldn’t hate himself for making the decision to do this but he looked at the boy.
“What’s your name?”

"My name is Eniac! Eniac Bayston! I'm new around here. I came from Shibuya, so I feel a little out of place." Eniac waited as Kaiketsu filled out his order. As Kaiketsu finished, he stood back and let Eniac order. "Wow, so many selections! I haven't eaten something like this in years!" He finished filling out his order, and he let someone else start making their order.
As the two of them stood around waiting for their orders to come, Eniac said, "So, do you like Holo-Comps? My dad was a famous programmer, so I'm very much into them myself." By the look on Kaiketsu's face, Eniac knew that he was probably talking too much. "Sorry. I like to talk a lot. Maybe I should leave you alone."

Kaiketsu took note of the boys name... Eniac... weird... He then noticed as he moved forward towards the cafeteria machine. Kaiketsu instinctively took a step back and watched as the boy made his order. He stood there, not sure what else to do as he waited for his food. Time slowly passed before Eniac once again broke the silence. He tilted his head to the side to listen as he asked more questions and said more about himself. Kaiketsu didn’t bother to sigh, but he still wasn’t sure how this would go... his way that he was taught to live practically forced him not to have friends.
“They’re fine I guess... I recently received mine...” he noticed that Eniac stated that he was from Shibuya. “I’m from Shibuya as well, but I recently moved from my home into an apartment that I’m staying in for now.” He slowly sat up on the rail to keep people in line, hoping that his food would arrive soon. He felt however that for some reason, this little friendship might actually continue. “Don’t sweat it... This kinda stuff happens...”
He slowly got up hearing his meal order arrive as he walked over, he expected though that Eniac’s would also come right after and because of that he actually stopped for a moment... Perhaps a little conversation wouldn’t be that bad...

Eniac watched for his food while he waited. "So have you heard of that Holo-Comp tournament that's starting? It sounds really fun! You should sign up, too! It doesn't matter how good you are yet. I've been training against computers for the past couple of years, but since I memorized their movements, it hasn't done much to increase my experience. I'm basically new at Holo-Comp fighting as well." Eniac's food came, and he took it with excitement. "Ooh! Right off the grill! The smell is irresistible! Shall we sit?" Eniac took a seat and motioned for Kaiketsu to have a seat as well.

Weapon Programs -Katana
Before the two students could exchange any further words, a tall male with light brown hair, sparkling green-blue eyes, and a single transparent-blue eyepiece approached them. His mouth was occupied by a simple looking sandwich, and his hands were filled with a pen and a small notepad that he was furiously jotting something into. He interrupted them with a statement of incomprehensible gibberish. “Thay, fu thoo ruuk mhneu ‘ltroun hfier” Suddenly seeming to realize that the recipients of his statement of greeting would not be able to understand a word of it, he quickly slipped the pen behind his right ear and used his newly freed hand to remove the sandwich from his mouth.
“Hey, you two look new around here. I always eat here at around the same time, so I can tell immediately when new faces show up. The name’s Talon Sykes, third year student at UEC and yet I’m still barely able to keep up with the minimum standards of a novice Programmer at the tournaments, hehe. Mind if I ask your names?”
After the flurry of words had finally come to a halt, Talon shoved the sandwich back in his mouth to bite off another piece of it and then retrieved the pen from his ear to continue rapidly scribbling something on his notepad. Whether this veteran student was simply outgoing or just a little off his rocker, he had successfully put Eniac and Kaiketsu into a position where they wouldn’t be able to refuse communicating with him. Exactly as he had planned it when he had seen them entering the cafeteria.

Kaiketsu had heard more of Eniac as he took his food and started his movement towards a table. However, he once again stopped himself to listen to Eniac and almost sighed hearing him go on about the food again. He looked around for a table, remembering to answer the previous question he was given about the tournament. “Yeah... I’ve heard of the tournament and already intended on entering it.” He was about to make his step over to the tables when he was interrupted by the other boy about their similar ages.
Kaiketsu wanted to give another sigh, but once more held it in as he listened to the long-winded explanation and then greeting of this other male. He felt almost forced into stating his name to him and that slightly got Kaiketsu a bit annoyed but just one more thing he had to deal with. “Kaiketsu Tada... It’s nice to meet you, Talon...” From the way Talon had described himself, he was rather poor at managing or handling a Holo-comp. That got Kaiketsu sorta curious as to if he had trouble making it to the third year, but questions like that would normally go unanswered. He finally looked around for a table, once more hoping to sit before having another drawn out phrase uttered by one of the two with him.

Eniac looked at the man who butted into their conversation. If it were anybody else, they would be somewhat annoyed at Talon's lack of manners, but Eniac didn't care. He was glad to have a new conversation partner. "Well, if it isn't another novice at Holo-Comping! Great to meet you, Talon! My name is Eniac Bayston! Have a seat." Eniac had no problems communicating with Talon, and he had no idea that Talon had almost forced him to say something.
Eniac motioned for Talon to sit at the table. Right then, something struck him. He felt something odd about Talon. However, he thought that it was just something about his manners, so he shrugged the feeling off. Eniac smiled widely at the new guy.

After finishing the final bite of his meal, Talon grinned widely and sat down at the table of his new acquaintances. “It’s a pleasure to meet you both, Kaiketsu, Eniac. It’s nice to see bright young faces coming into this university. Reminds me of my first year here when I was only sixteen years old.”
Up to this point, the clever Talon had not told a single lie. Well, the part about him losing in a lot of tournaments was a little misleading, but technically he had never stated whether his combat skills were good or not. For now he would simply go along with his usual nice guy routine in order to begin a bond with these two and see how much he could manage to fish out of them.
“So, have you guys ever actually fought another Programmer? It seems that so many new students these days never have actually experienced the thrill of a good programming match. It’s really quite a shame…” Talon would certainly love to test out the strength of as many new students as possible, and that’s why he would always try to lead a conversation in that direction. You never know when you might find someone with enough hidden potential to become either a useful ally or a dangerous enemy in the future.

Kaiketsu figured he should settle this little mess up on their interpretation of why he was there. He felt that if he left it like this he might actually get dragged into having to go to this university and he was clearly done with that. He slowly looked up from his food as he addressed them.
”Actually, I don’t plan on attending here... I only came for the food.” Of course he was open about it, he had never learned the ideas of not saying your thoughts or how you felt about people. He sighed a bit but then heard the statement about battles... He hadn’t really battled much... but he did have a strange battle already. He wondered if he should bring it up with them... perhaps they might know something about the figure.
”I’ve had one fight... It was atop the Umeda Sky Building... I have no idea who the man was though... he wore a mask, so I couldn’t see his face...” Kaiketsu sighed some as he looked at both of them. ”Have you ever heard of a man who wears a mask and fights atop the building? He wore a strange outfit too...”

Eniac saw the look at Kaiketsu's face, and he answered, "No, I can't say that I have." Eniac could feel the awkwardness in the air, so he decided to change the subject. He decided to answer the question that Talon had asked.
"Well, I had a few sparring matches with my dad! He is...well, he was a famous programmer. Maybe you've heard of him? Batch Bayston. He was one of the top Regulators in his time! I've always wanted to be just like him. He was the greatest man in the world. But...he passed away recently." Eniac suddenly got quiet. The painful memory of that day, still left its scar on him. His face sulked, and he stared at the floor. After a few seconds, he realized that he was letting it get control of him, and he quickly brightened up his face. "So, I'm going to enter the tournament to become a Regulator just like my dad!!"

Talon had been about to speak up in response to Kaiketsu’s words when Eniac quickly changed the subject. He managed to keep his face void of any revealing emotions as he listened to boy’s story. “I’m sorry for your loss. It’s interesting that you are so eager to follow in your father’s footsteps, but I suppose it makes sense after what happened. I wish you good luck in any future tournaments you take part in.”
The young man then turned his glittering aqua eyes back towards Kaiketsu, eager to return to the previous subject. “Sounds like you had a run-in with ol’ Accelerator himself. That psycho has been terrorizing Japan for the past three years with his revolution nonsense. I’m surprised you came out of that situation alive. He was either going easy on you, or he had a reason to spare you. I’ve seen some of the things he’s done by watching videos on the Info-Net, and that group of his is bad news.”
Talon took a deep breath and finally halted his rapid writing in his little pad of paper. “Sorry for getting so worked up and long-winded, I have just always had a strange fascination with major world, err, national events.”

Kaiketsu listened to Eniac’s story... However, his thoughts of the whole affair were a bit different. Kaiketsu honestly wished at times that his parents would have just died, however he did not find himself fortunate enough to have that happen... Eniac was just lucky. The way that life worked was still strange, the irony of the boy wanting to keep his parents and losing them, compared to the boy who wished he never had them to never losing them at all.
Kaiketsu’s attention immediately turned to Talon when he began to speak of the “Accelerator” the whole topic was indeed interesting, considering that he had encountered such a figure and that was described to be a death situation no matter what. Upon finding out that his life was spared, Kaiketsu couldn’t feel anything but sheer annoyance, why was this guy toying with him out of all people? It just had to be something that would drive him insane, and it was already working.
When he heard Talon go on about such stuff, he now knew where he would have to search for answers on this figure. His first clue would be to start checking the Info-net often enough to get answers. He had finally finished his food as well as he stood up. ”I think I’m gonna explore the campus a bit more. I don’t feel too hungry and it just seems like a good idea.” On that note, Kaiketsu headed for the exit of the cafeteria.
