Though Holo-Comps can technically be used legally in mutual combat at any public location, official tournaments and matches only occur in designated facilities built and approved by the Blade Corporation. The following list will describe these locations.
UEC Campus - Though this arena on the prestigious university is technically "official' designated by the Blade Corporation, the only tournaments and matches that take place here consist of purely the school's students and are usually only used for placement within the school's ranks, yielding no rewards or official Programmer promotions.
HDPC HQ - The manufacturing headquarters of the famous Holo-Comp itself, this huge series of buildings has one of the largest Programming arenas in Japan at the center of the area. Tournaments and matches held here are rarer than most, but the rewards are much more tempting, because the company often supplies the winner with a large sum of programs and spare parts for the most expensive Holo-Comp types.
Sanga Football Stadium - This large sports field can be converted into an official programming arena at practically the flip of a switch due to new holographic technology. Though Kyoto is known for being less modernized, many citizens still flock to the stadium in order to watch or even participate in the exciting matches that take place here, whether the competition is soccer or programming.
Osaka Bay Island - One of the many islands hovering just outside of Osaka Bay has now become the location of a massive programming arena, courtesy of the Blade Corporation. Though you must take a boat or some other form of transportation to reach it, this particular arena is usually packed full during matches due to the scenic location surrounded by water on all sides.
Shuri City - This underground arena is known for being much more "lenient" when it comes to bending the rules of programming. Though it is still technically run and regulated by Blade Corporation officials, the local yakuza and other small crime groups are always around to ensure that the enforcement of certain rules are not too strict.
