Standing amongst ruins was almost comfortable. The girl's hair blew in the wind, long strands of blue floating, as her eyes looked far off in the distance. She was almost ready. The townspeople, after seeing she had a holocomp, were a little bit cold, but the quiet and helpful girl had eventually carved her place here. Yes, she had a holocomp and yes she loved to fight and watch the fights, but she told them that she hated it too. Rosalind as she was known here, was not afraid to say that she hated holocomps. But she loved it.. it was a strange relationship between the two. Her eyes were lost in the ever boring darkness, the sun rising, as she stood on the ruin's highest peek. The wind ruffled her skirt, the girl looking like the perfect scene from an anime. She could be, with her hair color. The dye that made up her hair looked so real.. it was eery. Her blue eyes were bright, and she knew they were rare. It was only 8% of the population afterall. The sun broke over the horizon, and she gave a sigh. Another night passed, without trouble. Now this is where she began her weekend training.
She jumped, diving down, her body shifting and seemingly ready to be crushed. But yet, she twisted in the air, and grabbed to a metal pole. Swishing her body in a loop, she started to spin around the pole. And then she let go, twirling in the air and landed on a smaller tower then the one she just jumped off. Then, she backflipped into midair, falling again. Rolling into a ball, she suddenly landed on the wall, and pushing herself off it, dove diagonally towards the ground. And she hit the ground, rolling forward and onto her feet, right in front of a person. Her blue eyes widenned, as her body froze in that position.

“Of course this would be a good day to hit the country side!”
That was the advertisement that Kaiketsu had read many times as he had gotten onto the train. He was surprised that he actually had agreed with an ad that never actually knew when would be a good day, it would advertise that even if the world was coming to an end... Well... maybe it wouldn’t be there then...
Kaiketsu couldn’t make up his mind now. As he had long gotten off the train and made his way down the roads of Kyoto, soon to a nearby grocery store, he continued to wonder what the world end would be like. He had never actually thought of it. Holo-comps were already so advanced compared to previous years, and seeing technology back in the day was just... nothing compared to it now. And that was also an interesting state of things...
Coming back to Kyoto though, what a blast from the past. Hardly any electronic banking happened over here, and Kaiketsu made it a point to always bring cash with him whenever he came here. But, now, for the short cut. He had recalled that the ruins were accessed faster if you took these shortcuts through the forests and such, and that was the exact plan of Kaiketsu.
Not long into his forest journey he heard sounds coming from up ahead. Though, it sounded very little like human movement, and more like something more natural to be found in the forest, it very much surprised him when a girl landed right in front of him, quickly hopping up to her feet. Kaiketsu quickly stepped back, losing his balance over a bush as he quickly fell into the thicket, and soon into the creek that laid behind there.
"Ah-h--Woaaaaah! ... Ow!"
He rubbed his now soaked head as he shook of some water... Who did he just see?

Her eyes met those of the stranger for a second, before they were gone, swallowed by the bushes. The girl blinked, slightly confused, as the voice was slightly familiar, she knew that much. Her steps brought her closer, as she heard the splash, and winced. That wouldn't be nice to say the least, as she got out of the bushes, her blue hair floating like a circle, as she blinked. Her mouth suddenly just dropped open, as she reconized the wet male, blushing suddenly.. ''Kaiketsu-san! Good morning, sorry to have startled you in such a way!'' she said, before her mouth shut softly, as she shifted almost nervously, blushing still. The girl would offer him a hand to get up, as she was slightly disturbed by the whole situation, remembering the tournament. So many things.. and more she had to learn, as her lips curved in a smile. ''You caught me in training I'm afraid.'' she said, those blue eyes sparkling gently, almost as if she was cautious. After all, her training was hers alone.. although the tournament did show off some of her skills..

It wasn’t long after Kaiketsu’s falling into the creek that he soon saw Rosalind’s figure once more before him, and he noticed a strange look on her face... She must have been a little embarrassed or something, which would explain why her face was slightly more pinkish at that moment. But, Kaiketsu figured the better time to worry about such things would be when he was out of the creek. He noticed her offer a hand for him and he took it, soon back on his feet as he started to check the total damage that the water had done to him.
Fortunately, nothing valuable got too wet, maybe some money, and his wallet, but that was fine. That stuff would be dry in no time, and so his attention returned to Rosalind. Kaiketsu nodded a bit at her statement, he did catch her in the middle of what had looked like some sort of training, though he had only seen the last few moments of it. He couldn’t help but wonder what brought her out here to train though.
”Do you train out here... all the time?”
Kaiketsu wasn’t even sure what he was looking to hear when he asked that question, but he was still rather curious. Thinking about it a bit longer, he still just couldn’t piece fully why she would be out in Kyoto. But, to each their own. After a few more very small moments, Kaiketsu shook off a little and rubbed his hair to get some water out.
“Oh, don’t worry about me. I just didn’t want to run into anybody, and when I suddenly saw you come from out of nowhere, I was just sorta surprised. That’s all.”
That’s really all that Kaiketsu could conjure up to reply for his sudden falling and such. He glanced around at the area, and though he thought he knew where the palace ruins still were, he knew that he had never been to this area of the forest, well until now.

She was still a bit blushing, and she could feel the heat on her face. He was right here, talking to her! The girl had been a fan of his ever since that tournament, and well, she had been watching for him. Just to find him here, today, in this place, was a bit odd. No one really visited the ruins, after all, she was in the furthest and most dangerous part of them. Many times, she had to limp back to town injured, because she hadn't quite mastered it. Today, even, she hadn't mastered it, as the girl placed a lock of her hair behind her ear, as the girl gave a shy smile. She probably looked differant without her glasses, but did that really matter? The girl gave a laugh, and nodded her head. ''Every weekend.'' she simply said, concious that she had spoken a little too much. The girl was putting away thoughts as he shook his hair, the fangirl like adoration making her slightly more febrile then she normally would be. She gave a nod, and looked behind her, the sun still rising somewhat. The girl looked at him and took his hand, suddenly dragging him into the bush, as the first noises of tourists would reach them. The condition for the townspeople leaving her free access is that she wasn't caught by tourists, as she took the male and dragged him deeper into the forest. No tourist ever came here on purpose, and if they did, she simply did a ghost routine to get them to rejoin their group. Almost like a guardian spirit, one could say. The bushes and plants became thicker, as did the trees, the two walking alone as she suddenly spoke '' So what brings you here, today?'' she asked quietly, keeping an eye for the path they would take.

”Every weekend.”
Kaiketsu slowly nodded as he heard her reply to his question... It was actually quite interesting, she visited this spot every weekend, and this training happened all those times? That was rather amazing to Kaiketsu, though he had no idea if it was really necessary. The girl seemed to be in apt shape, and going to the level of continuing what looked to be like quite epic training, Kaiketsu couldn’t help but question what drove her... If he recalled correctly, she had spoken of not liking fighting, but she trained herself rather vigorously in the area of what appeared to be muscles that would most likely be used for fighting.
Weird
Kaiketsu suddenly blinked and looked surprised as he felt the girls hand take his own. He almost pulled back if she hadn’t pulled first and dragged him into the bushes. He was confused again but soon heard the sound of tourists, coming quite close to where they were presently. But he also realized that they had gone to where they had been before, moving was probably the best idea out of any. He pushed aside some of the bangs from his eyes, his ear picking up her voice and he turned his head to give her his attention again.
As they walked on, he realized that she continued to hold his hand... It was a very foreign feeling to Kaiketsu. He wasn’t used to this closeness that was happening, and especially the feeling of the strange warmth moving across his hand from hers... The strange feeling of his hands having still been wet from his little fall into the water, and now he had a strange heat warming his hands. He let out a sigh...
Maybe he would let his hands get a bit warmer...
He glanced around a little, wondering exactly where they might be headed. He soon heard her second question. Kaiketsu blinked a couple times, wondering what might be the actual reply. Should he tell her that he was just around to visit the ruins and the whole culture of Kyoto? Or perhaps just come up with some other excuse... Honesty was probably best, and he decided he might as well stick with the truth.
“I just came to get some fresh air... Every now and there I like to leave the city pollution behind and just come here and rest... I know of an inn where the people trust me and know me, they give me discounts when I stay, so I just crash there...”
This time Kaiketsu had felt like he had spoken too much. She didn’t really need to know anything about what he was doing besides what she asked. He just had slipped out too much... Talking with this girl still... Rosalind... would they be considered friends? He was too confused about this whole concept. Friends...

She still hadn't let go of his hand. Why, she couldn't tell, because it was just so. She was holding his hand and that was that. She wasn't going to let go of his hand anytime soon, simply because she just didn't want to. The girl liked his hand in hers, after all, it was the first hand she's held in years. The last time she held a hand, was her mother's hand. And that was something she'd rather not remember, as another smile gently slipped on her lips, her head turning to him. ''That's rather honest of you. Most people would just try to find a reason, since just getting away from the city seems like such a taboo these days. And I know the inn you speak of. So you're the guest we get.'' she said, a small twinkle in her eye. She did work at the inn, and always wondered who it was they got to come. She knew it was a student from the university, simply because they forgot a shirt from there, once or twice. Actually, the girl kept the clothing, in case she ever met the guy. And go figure, it was the one guy she felt weird over. How convinient really.. The cave wasn't too far now, as her eyes looked at the trail below their feet. Then all of a sudden, her head lifted, and she smiled, dragging him closer. ''Right there, that's the cave I hide in.'' she said, as it wasn't really a cave per say, not anymore. She wasn't aware of that, however.
As soon as she walked in, the girl fell, dragging the male with her, both falling down towards the ground. When she landed, it was ontop of the poor male, as she quickly checked him for injuries, frisking him just to make sure. ''Damn, that's new.'' she said, her eyes blinking in the darkness. She moved to the side, only to hit the wall halfway off him, which made her sigh in frustration. The situation was kind of awkward, as she just sat there ontop of him, trying to figure a way out.. she had thought this a cave, but apperantly, it was a hole. Go figure, she found the wrong spot again. The girl gave an apolegetic smile to him and just lied there, tired slightly. ''Sorry Kai, I guess I got us lost and in trouble... I'd like a nap..'' she said, slightly trembling. She had been up much too long for this..

Kaiketsu had followed along, still noticing that she had kept his hand in hers made him feel still the same weird feelings that were in him. He wasn't sure what to do. This was weird… Kaiketsu had always figured that if someone had felt his hand they'd just pull it away. His parents often did that when he was younger, and to feel that someone was holding on was indeed new to Kai's senses.
Kai wasn't sure if he should reply. He had already said more than he had meant to say the whole time, and she had even pointed out how he said more than one would normally tell about what they were doing. He might as well make a comment on how she worked at the place that he often visited.
"Oh? You're an employee there… It's weird that I haven't ever seen you…"
It was sat this moment that Kaiketsu finally saw the "Cave" that the girl had been speaking of. He couldn't believe that she found it to be a cave, because it seemed to hardly be even that nowadays, very… shoddy work if it was man made. He sighed to himself, feeling the girl tug him into the darkness as he soon lost his balance.
This came as a surprise to Kaiketsu as he felt himself get pulled down some sort hole, the fall felt taller than his height, by a bit actually, which made it when he found himself turned around that he landed on his back, more painful. Just when he thought the fall was over, he suddenly felt his torso and lower body collide with the falling girl, who had somehow managed to get above him… He knew not how and now felt himself suffer for it.
Kai panted for a moment, the pain had been rather sharp and had taken him by surprise, he felt a weird squirming and soft rubbing feeling going up and down his body. He tried to sit up, but then realized that the Rosalind had been rubbing and frisking him to check for any injuries. He blushed a bit, about to speak as he suddenly heard a sound of a sigh. Rosalind sounded frustrated and he couldn't help but feel a bit weird with her sitting on him and she didn't appear to be willing to move from that position.
''Sorry Kai, I guess I got us lost and in trouble... I'd like a nap..''
Kaiketsu looked surprised and confused as he heard that. She couldn't plan on crashing here? And it was shortly after he thought that, she fell atop him and laid on him. He tried to move a bit, only managing to partially sit up… This hole was so different, he couldn't understand what had gotten them into this predicament, more like what he did to deserve something so… weird. He spoke softly, the wind still slightly having left him.
"H-hey… You ok? This isn't the time or place to nap… We need to figure out how to get out of here…"
So far… it seemed hopeless.
