-Character Description-
Name: Caine, Kyle
Age: 17
Programmer Rank: Script Kiddie
Faction: Programmer
Place of Birth: Edmonton AB Canada
General Personality: Generally, Kyle is nice and cheerful to all those around him. He gets along with people fairly well and has a tendency to fool around more often than not. He's never nervous and likes to joke about many things that occur in daily life. Despite this, he is fairly intelligent and has knowledge about a fair amount of things. He spots things that others don't rather quickly and can assess a situation in a short time if need arises. One thing he likes more than anything is watching or being in a fight, for he feels more alive when in the thralls of mortal combat. His battle personality, on the other hand, contrasts his normal day personality.
While in actual battle and using his holo-form, Kyle is quite serious, focusing on whatever task is at hand before him. He maintains his cool no matter what happens, unless it is of an extremely drastic nature. He doesn't treat allies like trash, but he usually ignores those that don't prove themselves strong enough to merit his attention. He doesn't like to protect random strangers, but will do so if he feels they are unable to do so themselves. When protecting his own allies though, Kyle does show some concern for their well-being. Kyle's love of combat remains the same while changed, if not increased. Even though it doesn't show on his face, fighting strong enemies is something he enjoys a lot. He also doesn't follow orders too well while in combat; while he does follow them, he may take an undesirable approach to that order. Finally, he has a tendency to fight side by side with someone to the point of being almost in sync, even if he's not trying to do that.

Looks/Description: Kyle stands at about 5'9, weighing in at around 170 to 180 lbs. His hair is mainly black with red streaks and extends down to just below his shoulders on the back while the sides reach to the bottom of his face. The bangs drop just slightly past his eyes, which are a dark shade of green. His physical stature isn't that of a professional body-builder, but its fairly well developed, allowing him to perform the physical tasks he does everyday with little difficulty.
Kyle's normal attire consists of rather simple items, the first being a black shirt with a dragon picture upon it. The ends of the short sleeves, the collar and the bottom of the shirt all have a white line that circles all the way around. The shirt has a double sleeve, where the shirt has the shape of a t-shirt but has long sleeves coming out from under shoulder sleeves. He wears black jeans as well, which have small knee pads with spikes on them. His shoes are a mix of black, red, white and yellow, the yellow part being on the under part of the shoe. He is usually wearing black fingerless gloves and a necklace that has the symbol that appears on his holo-forms chest on the end. He also wears a small black collar around his neck.
History: Kyle was born to Richard and Donna Caine in Edmonton, AB, the eldest of three siblings. For most of his younger life, Kyle was picked on by others because he was extremely sensitive to insults and physical taunts. Despite this, Kyle managed to make several friends, and with their help, managed to survive the torment. As the world advanced into the world of holo technology, Kyle found himself making more friends then enemies now. This most likely had to do with the fact that he no longer fought back or broke down in the face of their taunts. Instead, he took everything in stride, even smiling when they insulted him. It was because of this that they most likely grew bored of him, freeing him to actually make friends. And for the years leading up to his thirteenth birthday, life continued on without incident.
It was on his thirteenth birthday that he was first introduced to the world of holo-comps and holo-battles. His father gave him an older model to use at first, in case he didn't like it. Quite the opposite happened, as Kyle became deeply engrossed with the system, spending a part of every day to work on and learn more about the technology. He proved to be a natural at writing the programs code and had many ideas for items to be made. He especially liked the battle portion of the holo-comps, which woke something up deep inside him. The problem he came across was what kind of items to create for battle, as he had many in mind but couldn't decide on which ones to mainly use. On almost a daily basis, he would play around with different abilities and weapons with his friends, winning about as much as he lost.
Two years later, an incident occurred that would change his direction in life. While taking his neighbors kid Bryce to the store, a gang of robbers robbed a nearby warehouse, using holo-comps to hide their identities. Kyle's attention was on the grocer, who he was having a conversation with, so he failed to notice that Bryce had wandered out onto the street. In their attempt to flee, one of the robbers ran into him, making him trip over. Angry and annoyed, he spun around and shot Bryce with a real gun. Kyle heard the shot and ran outside in seconds but it was too late. He could only watch as the light drained from Bryce's eyes and his body go limp. Holding back the tears, Kyle's eyes drifted to the game device he had been playing. Lifting it up, he wiped the blood off the screen to see what he had been playing. The game was a Rockman game of the past and on the screen, the image of one of the game's bosses, Forte, struck a nerve within Kyle. Grabbing his holo-comp, he ran after the robbers, who had hidden out in another warehouse that the cops were now surrounding. Inputting data as fast as he could, Kyle's eyes became cold and dark as he disappeared into the shadows. From outside the warehouse, the cops heard the sound of fighting suddenly start, flashes of light lighting the building's windows. Moments after, one of the men dashed outside of the building, trying to flee from something inside. The cops arrested him as he did but when they tried to question him, the only words that came from his mouth were about a shadow of vengeance.
The following week, Kyle attended Bryce's funeral. While the parents said they didn't blame him for what happened, their eyes told a different story, hatred and despair aimed in his direction the whole time. Upon returning home, Kyle took out the game Bryce had been playing when he died and remembered the events that had followed. Looking over to his tv, news reports about various crimes that were happening all over the world filtered into his eyes. Gripping the game tightly, Kyle made a choice. He would study to join the Regulators, an elite squad that used holo-comps to deal with crimes involving holo-comps. And when he joined, he would make those who dared to use holo-comps to commit crime suffer. But it would be a while before he could join. In the meantime, he knew he had to get stronger than he was and to do that, he needed to better understand holo-comps, more so than he did now. And he knew that Bryce wouldn't like to see him turn into a monster bent on revenge, so he would bottle that hatred deep inside, turning back to the kid he had been before. And so, for the next two years, Kyle continued his daily life while slowly bettering himself by training and participating in arena battles. The fact that he and the arena warrior known as Forte are the same person is one of his most closely kept secrets, making sure that no one knew that the program was his. And with the rise of the Coordinators on the rise, Kyle's desire to join the Regulators has grown even more.
-Character Holo-Comp Description-
Holo-Comp's Appearance: Kyle's holo-comp is a small circular handheld device that can be attached via a band to the Kyle's upper arm. The device opens up to project the data about its installed programs and other data on a holographic screen. The screen responds to touch, allowing Kyle to adjust information via the holo-projection. The device also has a light function, allowing it to double as a flashlight in case of emergencies. When he activates it to create his holo-form, it spreads open on all sides, sending out a burst of light when it does while he changes. When he uses it in combat, the device is usually on his upper arm, but a holo-projection appears on his chest in the form of a symbol, which allows him to access its functions on the fly.
Holo-Comp User Agreement: I, Kyle Caine, hereby agree to take full responsibility of any harm of physical or emotional damage I may receive to my person, and agree to follow the rules laid down by the Blade Corp.
Holo-comp Slots: 3
Weapon 1: Murasame: A cursed sword, forged by one of the greatest sword smiths of all time - Muramasa Sengo. The blade is extraordinary sharp and its hilt is a mix of dark red and purple. It's shape and design is that of a standard Japanese katana. The sword is able to feed off of its user's bodily pain to increase its sharpness and power. The downside to this is that the user must be injured for the effect to occur. The sword can also grow stronger off the blood of others, but only if it makes actual contact with them.
Weapon 2 : Forte Suit: The Forte suit is a combination of armored and non-armored clothing. The user's body is covered first in a tight body suit, covering from the feet to the head, with the front covering up to the nose and the back covering up to the lower neck. Then, metal gauntlets and boots are added. The gauntlets cover from the wrist to the forearm while the boots cover up to the knees. The gauntlets are also equipped with arm blades to blocking and attacking. White gloves cover the hands and shoulder guards are added on both shoulders. Next, a helmet with large finned ears covers the head, protecting everything except for the face. A grayish scarf finishes off the suit. The suit provides moderate protection against cold and heat and the armored portions allow the user to better protect themselves. The suit's colors are as follows: silver for the shoulder guards, gauntlets and boots, with a purple design on the boots. The helmet is mostly black, with silver on the outward facing part of the fins, with a green crystal in the middle of the forehead. The rest of the suit is a combination of black and purple.
Ability 1: Energy Manipulation: The ability programmed into the holo-comp allows Kyle to manipulate energy particles. This allows him several different forms of fighting. One is to simply manipulate the energy into his hands and then release it towards where his hand is pointed, the energy taking the form of a stream of energy. The other way is to send the energy to his limbs, boosting his speed and strength by using the energy to stimulate the nerves to the very limit. He can also charge this energy in his hands, creating an explosive punch or a defensive block depending on the situation. He has named several of the moves after the moves of the being his form is based off of. These include the Darkness Overload, the Darkness Claw and the Earthbreaker.
