Cecily, currently, was situated in the back of the competitor's lounge. She had arrived early, nearly before the entire remainder of the children, and had not moved since. She was just about to miss her first match and planned to miss all of the following matches. Fighting against children half her size and age did not appeal to her. For now, Cecily was determined to keep herself out of sight. She was gathering massive amounts of data, which would all prove valuable in the future. The only good part about attending the university was the availability of holo-comp information, and when Cecily said only she meant only. " Hey, nice monocle Colonel Mustard! The library is that way, if you're looking for it, but I think you'll need to bring your own candlestick!" Cecily looked up for a moment, her brilliant violet eyes peering across the lounge. Colonel Mustard? Who the hell was Colonel Mustard? And why would anyone bring a candlestick to the library? Either Cecily was truly older than she thought or these children were crazy. Cecily opted for the latter and returned back to her holo-comp. Touching a slim button the underside of her wrist, Cecily began typing a short message to Gabriel. Something to the effect of, "I hate children. They suck. Japan is crazy. Let's go." Gabriel would, of course, know that she was kidding. She had a job to complete and nothing was going to stand in her way, especially not a strange country and its equally strange people. After sending the message, Cecily continued to thumb through the various bits of code she was collecting from the other students. Most of them seemed to gravitate toward the elements and swords, which was to be expected. Cecily knew that Japan had a rich history in these sorts of things. However, one of the girls had something a little bit different. It was a rather short code, particularly unremarkable, and that is why she found it interesting. Who would come in here with an ability code just for short bursts of speed? Someone with a story to tell, that's who. Cecily gracefully raised herself from her seat, crossed a few aisles, and sat about seven feet away from the girl that had just arrived. " Let's see what other data I can get..." Weapons: >>Shield about two feet by three feet in size. It is sloped and shaped to be placed into the ground and is just about big enough to cover one adult person. The shield is completely clear and made from transparent aluminum . This therefore makes the shield lightweight and incredibly strong. >>Leather whip.
Abilities: >>The control of gravitational forces.

After a few minutes of overwhelming amounts of attention, the masses around Talon’s seat had finally begun to disperse as more matches begun and more people finally returned to their proper seats. He let out a sigh of relief when he could finally breathe and have his own personal space. He was honestly considering forfeiting the next match and saving himself more trouble in the future, but he still needed to gain a little more recognition first. It would make a lot of his future plans run much more smoothly…
”Hey, nice monocle Colonel Mustard!”
Talon was suddenly pulled out of his thoughts by a loud female voice. Was that girl talking to him? What could he have possibly done to get on some random stranger’s bad side?
”The library is that way, if you're looking for it, but I think you'll need to bring your own candlestick!”
…What the hell did that mean? And why did this girl have a problem with him anyway? He certainly hadn’t met her before, as far as he knew. Those eyes and that hair certainly reminded him of his older sister though, and it was a sight that he would rather not remember right now.
He slowly stood up and faced the girl, taking a few steps closer so that he could reply without shouting. His aqua gaze burned into the girl as he glanced over her features again.
”Do you have a problem with me or something? Why not just say it to my face instead of disrupting everyone around us? …Do I even know you?”
Talon crossed his arms and waited for a reply, still trying to figure out exactly what had caused the girl to flip out on him. His eyes moved away for a split second to check the large board. Good, his name hadn’t come up again yet. He still had plenty of time to resolve this little encounter.

After a few more moments of allowing himself to be upset about the previous comments to his abilities, Kaiketsu finally headed towards the arena. His name had been called once more for another fight, and upon entering the ring, Kaiketsu was quite pleased pleased to find the exact opponent he wanted. This would be a good moment to exact revenge. He had heard enough crap about how he was just a lucky person when it came to fights, especially coming from someone that looked to be the same age as him. He was about ready to pound this boy’s face in, if the ref had started the match sooner that is.
”BEGIN!”
Kaiketsu materialized his scythe as he took a single step forward, he didn’t see any sort of weapon upon his opponent, and the mere fact of the boy appearing unarmed brought a sense of overconfidence. He soon felt a fist collide with his face as he turned his head with the blow, his eyes slightly wide as he wasn’t expecting it. He moved down to his knee, his legs tensing up to keep him from hitting the floor. He soon saw a blur motion coming towards him, and tilted his head back to receive a slice across his left cheek, knocking him skidding slightly on his feet to the side of the opponent. The boy now stood with his back to Kaiketsu, his shirt torn, he had hid his weapon under his sleeves to keep Kaiketsu from expecting it.
The only thing that annoyed Kaiketsu the most was that he received an actual hit to his face, with no holo weapon, the second one did create the green mark on his cheek showing that his opponent had a shallow, but valid hit. Kaiketsu gritted his teeth, spinning the scythe around so that the blade rested near his feet, the counterweight behind his head.
“See? You’re a mess on the battlefield, hardly anything that the runner up champ like me could even be considering a challenge.”
Shortly after that comment the boy started chuckling to himself, a large smile on his face as he started to move towards Kaiketsu, his movements zigzagging as Kaiketsu’s eyes trailed the figure of the boy. His eyes picking up the pattern of him moving in the zigzagging motion and Kaiketsu placed his right foot against the floor, spinning his body and swinging the scythe around. The boy’s figure stopped nearly before the scythe would have hit him, and after it passed he moved to go in for another blow. Kaiketsu quickly pivoted, spinning the counterweight behind his back as he put the handle for the scythe against the weapons of his opponents. His eyes glaring with a fiery blaze.
”Like I care who you were last time? You should really shut your big mouth...”
Kaiketsu finally turned the handle for the scythe, the blade positioned behind the boys left heel and he soon used his power ability, shoving his opponent backward, pulling the scythe upwards to get the boy to trip. He then reached out, grabbing the boys other leg as his body fell backwards, he firmly placed his right foot on the floor as he threw the opponent into the floor behind him. He stood there for a moment, tilting his head at the boys figure in the floor. He then moved quickly, taking one of the daggers as the opponents foot shot up to deliver a kick, he slid his body to the side, avoiding the kick and slammed his knee down on the opponents chest, swinging his other hand, his fist colliding across the boys face. The boys head turned with the blow... he was unconscious. Kaiketsu smiled, getting up off the boy. He turned on his heel, heading out of the arena, finally hearing the sound of the crowd cheering... He must have been zoning out, he hadn’t heard anything except the boys voice for most of the round. Though, he knew now not to get lost in those thoughts... But even so, he might do it again, it felt good to kick the crap out of haughty people.
After exiting the stage he turned heading down the hall as he went out to the competitors lounge, taking a seat near the door that lead out to where all people were allowed. He let out a small breath, feeling the ache of his cheek as he cringed a little. ”Oh well...” He smiled a bit to himself, happy, except that he cringed once more... Stupid punch...

Oops.
She hadn't thought that the apparently-famous Talon Sky would actually hear her. Much less walk over to her and confront her about her behavior. She kept a stoic, impassive look on her face, standing as tall as her 5'3 frame would allow, pointing her chin proudly. Inside, though, she was panicking.
What should she say? Be honest? Challenge him? Make a run for it? Grab some ice cream and shove it on his shirt? All seemed like horrible and magnificent ideas, which mostly resulted in her standing there, frozen, for what seemed like forever.
"Yes, I have a problem with you." Angel said cooly, deliberately, as if the spaces between her sentences were intentional.
"Your eyepiece is ugly." This was true. Did he not understand the Colonel Mustard joke? Did they not play "Clue" in Japan? She had played Clue as a girl, but her father's habits were hardly stereotypical Japanese.
"And you're not as cool as you think you are." Still her voice was controlled, proud even. She thought maybe next she'd call him ugly, but the truth was he wasn't. He probably knew that too, which meant he probably had a nice ego-shield to block the bruising. He needed to hit him where it might hurt.
"And if it weren't for your little holo-toy, I bet you wouldn't have the guts to do half the things you do. You ever even punched a person for real, pretty-boy? I have. Real violence is not fun, fake violence is cowardly. You should stop feeling so great about yourself for such a shameful imitation of a horrible practice."
There, that was pretty good. Of course, when she said she'd punched real people, it had mostly been Aikido training, with a small smattering of security guards; never a real fight to the death. Those were just details, though. He wouldn't know any of that, and hopefully she'd shamed him.
Or at least distracted him.

Eniac was lying down enjoying a peaceful nap when he heard some bickering. He quickly sat up on the sofa looking around to see where it was coming from. Nobody he could see was standing up, so he jumped off the sofa and darted around the corner. That's where he saw Talon and some girl standing up facing off against each other. He started listening to the things the woman was saying. Who is this girl? Where does she get off saying things like that?
Eniac couldn't take any of this anymore. He ran up and started yelling, "Both of you stop it! Talon, is it really worth it to pick a fight with this girl? She doesn't know a thing about you, so why don't you just ignore her! And you!" Eniac pointed to the girl, "I will not let you talk to my friend that way! He most certainly is tough, both outside and inside the Holo-Comps! Whether he has gotten into a real fight or not doesn't matter! If you're going to waste your time on insults like 'your eyepiece is ugly' why don't you turn that energy into something useful!? Besides, if you think fake fighting is cowardly, why are you even here!?" Eniac stared at the girl with eyes full of rage. When Eniac got upset, there was no calming him down. All he cared about was defending his friend.

Cecily smirked down into her holo-comp. The girl tensed as Talon addressed her. Cecily actually knew a bit about Talon. Who didn't? At this school most of the students talked about nothing else. She couldn't blame them, really. When the edges of this school were all that one had seen, Talon would seem fairly awesome. Honestly, he was nothing really special. Above average, perhaps, but that made him about as unique as a knife in a culinary store.
"Yes, I have a problem with you. Your eyepiece is ugly."
Cecily raised her eyes, nearly laughing at Angel's comments. This girl was off to a brilliant start. Cecily listened to her continue as she perused through Angel's small bit of code. Nothing too complicated, but it was somewhat strange. As Cecily had seen earlier with the boost code that this girl had, it was almost as if she wasn't from around here. Huh, maybe she wasn't. Cecily had heard of people sneaking into the school during tournaments. Not to join the tournaments, though, but for other purposes. Cecily brushed these thoughts away as Angel finished her smack-down on the unsuspecting Talon.
"...violence is not fun, fake violence is cowardly. You should stop feeling so great about yourself for such a shameful imitation of a horrible practice."
Suddenly, Cecily burst out laughing. She doubled over for a moment, leaning forward in her chair over her knees, as tears threatened to pour forth from her eyes. Was this girl for real? No, seriously, was she? Cecily stood swiftly and crossed a few more seats in the direction of the two children. She sat down again and crossed her right leg over her left, facing both Talon and Angel. Cecily pointed a lazy index finger toward the girl as she continued to lightly chuckle. It was too funny, it really was. Cecily was about to start talking when another one of the students started yelling. The woman had long ago labeled him as one of the... duller tools in the shed, but his current comments were only driving that point home. When he was finally finished, Cecily dropped her index finger down and clapped her hands together.
"Well, great, that was enlightening." Cecily shifted and once again turned her attention toward Angel, "You're kind of a b!tch, aren't you? Totally hilarious, mind you, but still kind of a b!tch."
Cecily chuckled again before turning toward Talon.
"I think you should punch her, Birdie," she said, gesturing toward Angel. "Picking fights aren't so bad, right? Besides, she's kind of asking for it anyway."

Talon waited nearly a full minute before the girl finally pieced together her thoughts and spoke up.
”Yes, I have a problem with you. Your eyepiece is ugly.”
So her problem with him was that she didn’t like the blue readout display over his right eye? Apparently this female was even shallower than he had originally thought. Or just plain stupid.
”And you're not as cool as you think you are.”
What exactly had given her the idea that he thought he was cool in the first place. So far Talon had walked into the arena silently, defeated a couple of the other participants, and then quietly sat back down in his seat. Well there was that little confrontation with that one male student, but he had been the one who insulted Talon first. Who did this girl think she was anyway?
”And if it weren't for your little holo-toy, I bet you wouldn't have the guts to do half the things you do. You ever even punched a person for real, pretty-boy? I have. Real violence is not fun, fake violence is cowardly. You should stop feeling so great about yourself for such a shameful imitation of a horrible practice.”
If only this girl knew how horribly ironic her words were. She was standing face-to-face with a young man who had fought, injured, and occasionally even killed more people than she would dare to imagine. Talon quickly suppressed a cruel grin that had begun tugging at the corners of his mouth. Luckily he was pretty experienced with keeping a straight face.
Talon’s response was cut off before it had even begun by the loud sound of laughter coming from a nearby seat. This time the origin of the interruption was an older-looking female. Great, more people who wanted to get their two cents in. But the next voice that greeted his ears belonged not to the woman, but to Eniac.
”Eniac, I can’t just stand around and take this. Just stay out of this; it doesn’t concern you.” Talon’s words were immediately followed up by the voice of the newcomer who seemed to have finally finished laughing.
”Well, great, that was enlightening. You're kind of a b!tch, aren't you? Totally hilarious, mind you, but still kind of a b!tch.”
Cecily chuckled again before turning toward Talon.
”I think you should punch her, Birdie. Picking fights aren't so bad, right? Besides, she's kind of asking for it anyway.”
Now that was certainly not what Talon had expected to hear. It was like this woman’s words had been spoken directly from his own instincts. Honestly, his first instinct had been to do exactly that: prove this annoying girl wrong by showing her just how able he was to punch someone and fight for real. But those were actions for other times and other places, certainly not to be performed now when he was trying to make himself a respected and influential figure in the university for future plans. Still, this new woman’s words had intrigued him. Could she possibly be someone who understood his way of thinking? He would have to keep his eyes and ears open, just in case.
”I have no desire to start a pointless fight here,” Talon raised his hands an inch or two above his shoulders in mock surrender, and his voice took on a satirical tone as he turned to address Angel. ”You’ve punched someone for real before? Wow, you really must know all about the terrible and violent practice of fighting, don’t you? I can see that our little imitation matches offend you so much that you came all the way out here just to watch them, huh?”
He could have gone on, but Talon decided to stop there and see what the other participants in this little “discussion” had to say. This was certainly an interesting way to kill some time before his next match, and he still wanted to observe Cecily for a few more minutes. That was the biggest reason he was even at this school and these tournaments in the first place: searching out potential recruits for his cause.

This wasn't what she wanted!
The whole point of this was to be quiet about it, and now she had gathered a crowd. Was Talon Skye so painfully beloved that a single insult was enough to form a small mob? Maybe the Holo-Comp culture was more backwards than she realized. Maybe it had a crazy sort of social network that bound everyone tightly together. Maybe his fame was widespread and fever-pitched.
Angel kept herself completely impassive as first the loudmouth, then the cold beauty, then finally Talon himself spoke. She looked only at Talon, her eyes locked with his in an unmoving gaze.
Angel moved her arms, pointing a finger each at the loudmouth and the beauty.
"Can't even take a mild set of insults without your posse coming to save you, Skye-sama?" Angel angled her head defiantly towards him as she lowered her arms. "Your fake fights don't offend me. They're just a by-product of a larger cultural problem, one that people like you perpetuate. People are forgetting how to be people, Skye-sama. Illusions have become reality and reality just a forgotten memory. And why? Because they want to be like you."
Angel lifted a finger and jabbed it at Talon's chest with visible disdain.
"They wouldn't want to do any of this if there wasn't something in it for them. Glory. Fame. Love. Money. Power. You stand here and you act so innocent, like you didn't hear that flock of women cooing at you from the stands. If you were that ignorant of your own influence, it might be sort of cute, but I know you're not. I can see it in your eyes. Or at least in the eye that your stupid eyepiece isn't covering."
She crossed her arms and took a beat. Okay, so far so eloquent. But could she keep it up? She had to end it good if she were going to save face, if she were going to be taken as a serious thinker and peaceful disruptor and not some annoying kid who would put on social protest and take it off like a t-shirt.
Angel hooked a thumb towards the loudmouth.
"After all, look what this society has created. Loudmouthed idiots itching for a fight, who live by anger."
Shoot, that wasn't very good. But she stopped there. No sense digging the hole any deeper than it already was.

The noise... The volume was immense and all coming from a distinct area. The volume only seemed to escalate as the tension increased and soon more and more people had joined this useless debate. For Kaiketsu, this was the greatest annoyance yet. He knew that people could be problematic, his parents had taught him all about how trusting others was a waste of time, and now here was a huge argument over Holo-comp using. How could some girl be so flared up against Talon? She even continued to get his name wrong, Kaiketsu could hardly believe what was going on behind him, and soon enough, he intended to hush this debate.
Though, he knew that adding another voice would only heat up the ferocity that was already going on and he knew that very little words or actions might be able to actually stop this, the loudmouth girl hardly seemed to notice that she was by far more obnoxious than Eniac, or anybody else who Kaiketsu had seen that day... What an annoying scene. Kaiketsu could hardly get himself up without feeling the pain in his ears as they continued to talk.
Shortly after standing, he went over to the group, stepping near the loudmouthed girl.
”For being so against Holo-comp battles, don’t you think the ‘Competitor’s lounge’ would be a bad choices of places to be? I mean... all of us in here should be either heading out for a fight, or resting up for one...”
Kaiketsu shrugged his shoulders after that comment he made. He even wondered if the girl had heard his voice over her own thoughts or all of the other things she was preparing to say. He slowly glanced over to Talon, his eyes watching his new-friend.
“The opponent for your next fight is ready, I just saw him heading over to where the battle would begin. He seems eager to fight. I think leaving now before this gets even more out of control might be advantageous.”
Hoping Talon would agree to his piece of advice he then walked over to Eniac, patting his shoulder.
“It’s alright, just let it go. She only judges by appearance, not what she knows about any of us. Just let her be.”

Programs: - Sheathed Katana - Kodachi - Empty
"Oh come on! How lucky can a guy get!" Myoushu looked up at his next opponent and turned his head away. ”This match will be a snap guys, I see you all in the next round!” Both Myoushu and this random opponent stepped into the ring. ”I don’t understand how you could get so lucky as to advance to the third round without any abilities, but that ends here. I’m going to crush you right now.” Myoushu tried to take up less space while standing in a ring in a gymnasium surrounded by hundreds of people. So sue me, I have never used abilities before, I only practiced with weapons. The referee called to both Myoushu and his opponent, making sure that both were ready to start the match.
"Match begin! Myoushu waited as his opponent dashed forward a sword in one hand and a sickle and chain in the other. As he ran he threw the sickle at Myoushu who pull out his Kodachi and stepped past the sickle allowing the chain to wrap around his sword. ”I was hoping you would do that! This match is as good as mine.” Electricity began surging up the chain to Myoushu’s Kodachi. Myoushu dropped his weapon before the electricity could hurt him and dropped his hands into a tamiya ryu position just as his opponent was approximately five steps away and running quickly towards him. Dropping the point of his sword so it pointed at Myoushu’s chest he continued rushing forward. Here goes nothing, hopefully he’s to focused on his own blind rush to pay too much attention to me. Myoushu stepped to the side and summoned his sheathed katana drew at the same time he struck swinging cleanly through his opponents chest leaving a clean green line all the way through as his opponents sword point went through his shoulder leaving a green mark on Myoushu. After performing the strike he recalled his program. The buzzer sounded ending the match. ”WHAT!!! What just happened! I had you and you never even pulled out a weapon! Why is it that I lost! You didn’t even dodge my sword!” Wow, he didn’t even see me swing, was he really that focused on his own sword he didn’t even watch his opponent? If all of my opponents are like this I won’t even need to learn how to use ability programs. ”Sorry, I guess no one told you that fighting is about more than just programs. Thanks for the match.” Leaving his opponent still fuming and in bewilderment Myoushu walked off putting his headphones in his ears relatively unnoticed by the thralls of students.

Riveted.
The drama didn't effect Keiko, as she simply starred at the screen. The blonde she had run into earlier was fighting! The banter made her angry at the other, for being so judgemental towards.. Kaiketsu. She knew his name now, which she liked. When the fist collided with his face, the girl let out a angry hiss, totally captivated by the match. And then a slice to the left cheek, and the girl made a sort of sound, bouncing in her seat. ''Come on Kaiketsu..'' she muttered, as the other began to zigzag. ''Track him, hit him were it hurts, while he can't stop..'' she advised, not that he could hear her of course. The girl kept on watching, and then when he spoke, she shivered. This blonde had a nice voice. As she saw him turn it to his advantage, the girl nodded approvingly. ''That's it, you can do it!'' Although Keiko did not condone violence usually. she was caught up. Enslaved by the rush, by the sheer beauty of it all, she could simply cheer as he won his match. The girl felt so proud.. so happy. But at the back of her mind, disgust at the violence was surpressed, when she saw him walking back in here. Watching him with blue eyes for a moment, Keiko saw him wince.
Well, if no one else would take care of him, she would.
The girl walked up with an ice pack, and smiled softly, applying it to his face gently, as to not startled him. She also placed his hand over it, making him hold it there, as she gently brought him to where she was sitting. She simply smiled at him, was about to sit down, when the next match was announced. Rosalind vs a Ruuku Sanban. The girl gave an apologetic smile this time. ''Sorry, I have to go, my match is about to start. But excellent fight out there, keep that on your face until I come back, alright!'' she said, running off. The knot of drama continued on the edges of the arena, but not big enough yet to impact the matches, as the girl sped up the stairs. Her blue hair floated as she did so, arriving. The male took a fighting position, and she cocked her head to the side. He wasn't going to give up. ''Are you sure?'' she asked softly, before the sign was given for the fight to start.
The male materialized a scythe, and came at her, as she gave a sudden movement. Dodging the scythe. ''Myth.'' she simply said, before twirling and ducking the coming back blow, looking at him with her blue eyes. ''Myth.'' she said once more, before back flipping out of the weapon's range, looking at the male with a soft smile. He seemed frustrated, brown eyes flashing, hand rubbing through black hair. ''Are you sure?'' she asked again, almost kindly. ''YES I AM SURE.'' he simply yelled back, glaring at her. The girl gave a last smile and with a sigh, said one more thing. ''Myth.''
The holocomp aura surrounded her, and she extended her hand. The girl still smilied, she hated to fight directly, but she had to this time. The whip formed in her hand, black and uniformed, as she cracked it towards him, catching him off guard. They all thought she was a pathetic one, just because she had won her two matches on forfeits. Stupid, just a little. The tip of the whip wrapped around the scythe, and with a twirl, she ripped it out of his grip and sent it sailing. It landed right in the mass of drama, just before Talon Sykes actually, but Keiko had other things on her mind. Quickly jumping back to avoid the guy that just suddenly teleported, she cracked the whip, tangling his legs. He stumbled and fell. So he wasn't too smart. This worked to Rosalind's advantage, as she suddenly climbed on his back, not letting him move. No one would notice this.
Her hand was at the base of his neck, and it seemed she had him in a submission hold. But her hand, hidden by her body, glowed blue. She was spreading the cold to his limbs, slowly making him numb, and eventually, unable to take it, he tapped out. Immidiately, she stopped and got off, the whip disappearing, as she hopped down the area, but tripped on the way down. Cursing she bowled right into the back of someone, and yet, she wasn't on the floor. The other person might, but moments before she landed, the crowd gasped. The girl had stopped her body, on one leg, just before hitting the ground. And that's when eyes were on her. Even Kyo-sensei's eyes were on her, as she flipped suddenly into the air, turning on herself and landing on her feet. She looked a little surprised but then it all went to hell.
The fighting made her cringe, and her glassed blue eyes seemed to mist over for a single moment, getting up. She dusted off her clothes and offering her hand to Talon, looked at everyone. ''Well, there seems to be only one way to resolve this and peacefully seems to be out of the question.'' The girl said, a sort of bright optimism in her voice, but yet there was a sad regret. ''Just take it to the arena.'' the girl said, walking away, softly stopping by Kaiketsu, he had come out too. Her gaze shifted to Kyo-sensei as well, and simply giving them a smile, the girl walked off, her blue hair flicking in the light, as the strands floated. Graceful, elegant and simply kind. She never noticed the eyes that watched her, those eyes that have been watching her. Arriving back in the room, she collaspsed on the couch, and curled up. Time to rest a little.. yeah just a little.

This whole situation was turning into something much more than Talon wanted to deal with. The futile conversation continued to go an for as this girl continued to find new ways to insult him and this whole event in general, while the other people joining the conversation continued to find ways to refute her before Talon could even chime back in. Not that he minded; he would rather just get out of this as soon as possible.
When Kaiketsu mentioned that Talon’s next opponent had been selected and was waiting for him down at the arena, the young man was ready to jump at this opportunity to flee from this endless argument. However, some sort of twisted fate seemed to be keeping here. First off, a holographic scythe thrown from the arena landed nearly on top of his head, but it clattered uselessly to the floor before finally dispersing into nothing after travelling too far away from the arena’s several generators.
As if that wasn’t enough, just a few brief moments later, something suddenly drilled into his back, causing him to stumble forward before he finally corrected himself. The force hadn’t been enough to knock him down, but his back sure hurt like hell. It would probably leave a nice-sized bruise, but it wouldn’t be a problem in the long run. He turned around to see the same blue-haired girl who he had watched win her first two matches by default. Apparently Talon was even more of a people-magnet than he thought.
''Well, there seems to be only one way to resolve this and peacefully seems to be out of the question. Just take it to the arena.''
Talon stared as the eccentric girl walked away to go find a place to rest. The suggestion sounded great to him, but he doubted that this self-righteous girl would go back on her supposed beliefs just to show him up. But hey, it was worth a shot.
”Sounds like a good idea to me. I don’t really care that much about this competition anyway, so my real opponent can wait or they can just disqualify me. If you want to show me how someone who has been in ‘real’ combat fights, then this is your chance.”
A small smirk tugged at the edges of Talon’s mouth. He doubted that the girl would take such obvious bait, but maybe she would be too caught up in the moment to back down. Either way, the situation had turned favorable for him. Almost everyone else seemed to be siding against the girl, and that meant that the pressure would remain on her. Perfect.

Eniac was bewildered at the turn of events. With both Talon and Kaitetsu telling him to stay out of it, Eniac politely backed down without a word. However as he watched and listened to everything that went down, he couldn't help but feel horrible. He wanted everyone to get along and enjoy a nice day of arena battles, but it seemed like that would be impossible now. Everyone was angry, upset, or amused at this situation. Was there nothing Eniac could do to fix this? Apparently doing something would only make matters worse. He had already done wrong by butting in before. For now, he decided to let things sort out for themselves.
"If you want to show me how someone who has been in ‘real’ combat fights, then this is your chance.”
What!? No he did not just say that!! He's going to fight this girl? Eniac sat down on a piece of furniture. He was having trouble grasping this. He had never come across such heated discussion before. Perhaps he could learn more about how things were handled in Japan if he stayed and watched intesively.
"Hey, Kai...what's wrong with people? Why must people have so much hatred in their hearts?"

Angel took in a slow breath.
Everything was growing chaotic around her and while she looked calm on the outside it was only because she was frozen with panic. This wasn't what she wanted to happen! She thought she'd take a break and watch her enemies practice their fights, quietly, from the sidelines. She thought she'd throw out an insult to the good-looking poster-boy and he'd just shrug it off. But now there was a mob, an honest to goodness mob, surrounding her. There were so many of them now she didn't even know how or who to respond to first; the loudmouth, the new guy, the blue-haired girl whom for a moment she thought might be her friend when she grabbed Talon, but now was suggesting the most insane thing of all of them?
A fight?
"Sounds like a good idea to me. I don’t really care that much about this competition anyway, so my real opponent can wait or they can just disqualify me. If you want to show me how someone who has been in ‘real’ combat fights, then this is your chance."
She hesitated. Yes and no. She wanted to do it and also didn't want to do it. She wanted to show him how wrong he was, to show off her years of training. But it was also what she was against. Still, she knew this would happen eventually. She'd have to fight the holo-comp users and beat them at their own game if she was going to make any progress.
After all, why else did she have a holo-comp of her own?
"Fine." She let her petite mouth curl into a gentle smile, the single word response lilting. "But only because it seems like the only way I'll be able to confront you privately. I trust your posse won't interfere in the fight."
Angel dipped her shoulder, sliding her messenger bag off and set it to the side. She rubbed her hand across her holocomp halo bracelet, powering the device up. She wasn't sure if they were about to fight there in the lounge or if Talon would want to go where there was more room, so she stood there casually.
She worried.
What if this was a trap? What if the mob started pounding on her now that the holo aura was surrounding her body?
What if she lost?
She took a breath, and recalled the words of her father.
Intention defines reality.

What an interesting turn-out to say the least. Having what started out as a little bit of banter, finally turning it into something tangible. Kaiketsu felt slightly more pleased with the present conditions of the situation... This girl had quite the horrible attitude. He wondered how much she even understood of fighting and using Holo-comps, of the strain that it put on the body, and the possible physical damage you could take, like he had already taken. He heard the voice of Eniac, Kai’s head turned to listen to the question at hand.
"Hey, Kai...what's wrong with people? Why must people have so much hatred in their hearts?"
Kaiketsu didn’t really know how to answer Eniac at that time. Perhaps his friend was over-exaggerating on what it meant to be hateful, or perhaps that really was what was going on in front of them. In any of the present Scenarios, Kaiketsu had no answer. His thoughts went over the question multiple times as he tried to find something to say, but only noticed that he did hold contempt in himself for people as well... He understood Talon’s thoughts, yet, he could tell what Eniac was talking about...
Now isn’t the time for these thoughts... I need to focus on the matches...
With those thoughts, Kaiketsu had shrugged his shoulders and gently punched Eniac’s arm. He went to sit down to get a breather, his eyes noticing the girl who had given him the ice pack. He felt rather strange about the fact that a total stranger had been so kind... That couldn’t be human nature, at least not from what he had been taught... Stupid lessons from stupid people... Kaiketsu sat slightly closer to the girl than he had earlier, glancing over for a small moment, before looking towards the arena screen.
”...Thanks...”
This was all that Kaiketsu could muster to say... He didn’t understand interaction with people, and he felt that weight even more after Eniac asked the question earlier... He felt doomed to fail at times like this... Of course this whole scenario had him thinking of the past. He pulled his left arm up, laying it behind his head as he leaned back against it. His right hand held the ice pack to his face for a few more moments, and he let out a thoughtful sigh...
The next round... is gonna be soon.
